Watch: Cueto pulls a 'Happy Gilmore' on healthy swing

MLB.com

Johnny Cueto doesn't have much of a future at the plate.

A career National League pitcher, the San Francisco Giants' right-hander showed us why he has a .108 lifetime batting average.

In Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he went up against Rich Hill, who was making his Dodgers debut. Needless to say, Cueto knew he was an automatic out.

So in an effort to make something happen, he crowhopped into his swing to try and get some extra mustard on it. Instead, he whiffed badly, and on the next pitch he attempted a drag bunt with two strikes.

He missed that one, too, and went back to the dugout laughing as he shook his head.
