Boston Red Sox youngster Andrew Benintendi needed to be helped off the field Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays.

In the seventh inning, Benintendi was on second base, and after getting caught in a short rundown, he was tagged out, but not before he landed awkwardly on his left leg. He was diagnosed with a left knee sprain but will be evaluated further Thursday.

After staying down for a few moments, he grabbed at his left knee before he walked off the field with the assistance of the training staff.

In 20 games since joining the Red Sox, Benintendi, one of baseball's most coveted prospects, is batting .323/.366/.477 with one home run, one triple, and five doubles while playing stellar defense.
