Yankees' Jacoby Ellsbury: Nursing sore foot
Ellsbury was held out of Wednesday's lineup with a sore foot, Doug Miller of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Ellsbury fouled a ball off his right foot in Tuesday's game and was able to stay in for the remainder of the contest, but manager Joe Girardi decided to hold him out Wednesday for precautionary reasons. It sounds as though the ailment is not overly serious and the team has a scheduled off day Thursday, so Ellsbury could be back in the lineup for Friday's tilt against the Orioles.
