Indians' Danny Salazar: Takes fifth loss against Athletics

Salazar (11-5) allowed six runs on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts over four innings in a loss Tuesday to the Athletics.

Analysis:

Salazar still hasn't looked right since returning from the DL August 18, when he lasted just one inning and gave up three runs on a hit and three walks. He wasn't fooling anybody Tuesday night, as he drew just five swinging strikes in 80 pitches, a far sight below what we're used to from one of the most electric starters in the league. His ERA is up to 3.90 and it's fair to wonder if he's fully recovered from the elbow discomfort that sidelined him earlier this month.
