Athletics' Khris Davis: Mashes 33rd homer against Cleveland

Davis homered, walked, scored three times and knocked in three runs in a 2-for-4 game Tuesday against Cleveland.

Analysis:

Davis is red hot in August, now with seven home runs and 14 RBI in just 21 games this month. He has also struck out a ridiculous 27 times in just 85 plate appearances (31.7 percent), and even at his best, he won't hit for a great average. But he continues to extend his career-high home run total, now up to 33, and it would be a surprise if he doesn't manage to make it to 40 with the month and change left in the season.
