Alex Rodriguez is taking his talents to paid speech.

The former Yankees slugger has signed an exclusive contract with the New York-based Greater Talent Network, an agency representing speakers from a variety of platforms.

The company announced the acquisition on its website with a statement recognizing the controversial athlete's award-laden career:

Alex Rodriguez is widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball players of all time, with a 20 year career that includes 14 All-Star appearances and three American League MVP Awards and a World Championship in 2009 with the New York Yankees. Mr. Rodriguez has also begun to use his extensive knowledge of baseball off the field as a color commentator for FOX Sports. He received critical praise for his commentating throughout the 2015 playoffs and World Series.

Rodriguez last played in MLB on Aug. 12 in an emotional farewell game planned by the Yankees against the Tampa Bay Rays. Though rumors have swirled about possible playing destinations for the disputed superstar, Great Talent Network lists his current employment as a senior adviser to Yankees chairman Hal Steinbrenner.
