Red Sox's David Price: Dominates for eight innings

Price (12-8) was dominant Monday, shutting out the Rays for eight innings. He allowed two hits, walked two and struck out eight.

Analysis:

Price has now won three straight decisions, bringing his ERA down to an even 4.00 -- the lowest point its reached since his first start of the season. The lefty has been mired in his worst season since his first full season in the majors, but may finally be turning the corner. Even if the ratios aren't where they usually are, Price is behind only Chris Archer and Justin Verlander in strikeouts among AL pitchers. His next start will come Saturday against the Royals.
