Rays' Brad Boxberger: Credited with third hold of season Sunday

Boxberger garnered his third hold of the season in Sunday's 8-4 victory over the Rangers, firing 1.1 innings of scoreless, one-hit ball. He also recorded a strikeout.

Analysis:

The former closer continues to thrive in his new setup role, firing 18 of his 29 pitches for strikes Sunday and posting his eighth straight scoreless appearance. Boxberger has tallied eight scoreless innings since his latest DL stint and appears to finally be hitting his stride in his first stretch of extended action this year. Still, he doesn't appear to have any chance of reclaiming the closer's role from Alex Colome during the last several weeks of the season.
