Tigers' Upton awkwardly celebrates 'HR' too early

MLB.com

For about two seconds, Justin Upton had a game-tying home run in the ninth inning. And then he didn't.

The Detroit Tigers outfielder launched a deep fly ball to center field Saturday against the Boston Red Sox, that looked to tie the game at 3 apiece. Except, Upton began his celebration on the basepaths a little too soon, as the ball dropped just inside the wall forcing Upton to embarrassingly stop at second.

To make matters worse, Detroit's next batter, catcher Casey McGeehee, chased a pitch in the dirt for strike three and the game's final out.
