Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman: Activated from disabled list

Zimmerman (wrist) was activated from the DL on Saturday.

Analysis:

The Nats didn't activate Zimmerman on Friday as some expected, but he is now back from his second DL stint of the season and will likely return right away to a regular role at first base. It's been tough sledding for the 31-year-old this season, as he's limped to a career-worst .222/.284/.394 line over 335 plate appearances. He is under contract for three more years with a team option ($2 million buyout) for 2020.
