Blue Jays' Jose Bautista: Feeling better, aiming to return August 25

Bautista (left knee sprain) is feeling better, according to manager John Gibbons, and has an "outside shot" of returning on his first day of eligibility Aug. 25, Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Bautista has been out since Aug. 10, but it looks like he'll be back in time for the fantasy playoff run. The veteran has had a disappointing season, much of which has to do with making two stops on the DL after staying injury-free in his last two campaigns. Over the past three seasons, Bautista has been a strong finisher, posting a .271/.382/.560 slash line post All-Star break. However, the time off may impact this trend as the 35-year-old will likely need some time to get back into a rhythm.
