Cubs' John Lackey: Next start pushed to Tuesday in SD

Lackey (shoulder) will have his next start pushed to Tuesday at San Diego, the Chicago Tribune's Mark Gonzales reports.

Analysis:

He had originally been scheduled to start Saturday against the Rockies, but the Cubs will elect to play it safe and give him three days of extra rest before making his next start. Mike Montgomery will instead get the start Saturday, with Trevor Cahill piggybacking off Montgomery, with both pitchers expected to log around four innings against the Rockies.
