Giants' Denard Span: Homers in loss to Pirates

Span went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's loss to Pittsburgh.

Analysis:

With six home runs, Span has his highest total since all the way back in 2009 with Minnesota, when he crushed nine homers in 145 games. Obviously, power has never been a huge part of Span's game. Unfortunately, his ability to hit for average hasn't shown up in 2016, as he owns just a .263/.330/.363 batting line this season. He has been heating up as of late, registering a .300 batting average with two homers and three steals in 62 August plate appearances.
