Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo: Suffers broken forearm

Choo was diagnosed with a broken forearm after being hit by a pitch in Monday's game against Oakland, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

In all likelihood, this signals the end to an injury-riddled season for Choo. The 34-year-old will make his fourth trip to the disabled list after playing in just 45 games, his fewest since 2007. If this is the end, Choo will finish the season with a .247 average and just 17 RBI. In his absence, Nomar Mazara will likely receive more regular playing time in the outfield
