Cubs' John Lackey: Forced to exit with apparent injury

Lackey was forced to exit Sunday's start in the seventh inning with an undisclosed injury.

Analysis:

Lackey was already at 106 pitches and so the Cubs had little reason to risk leaving him in, so it's hard to say how major or minor this injury is until we hear more from the training staff. He was having a fantastic start, as Lackey allowed just one unearned run on four hits and a walk through 6.2 innings. Consider him day-to-day until more information emerges.
