Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Set to play catch again Saturday

Kershaw (back) is expected to play catch on flat ground again Saturday, David Vassegh of 570 AM Los Angeles reports.

Analysis:

Slowly but surely, Kershaw is rebuilding his strength on flat ground in preparation for a return to mound work. There is no set date for him to throw a bullpen session, but it would seem he at least has a chance to throw off elevated ground by the end of next week. At that point, a tentative timetable for his return may finally start to take shape.
