Watch: Bautista trips on turf, gives up extra base

Well, that's embarrassing.

In the third inning between the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, Jose Bautista fell victim to the Rogers Centre turf.

As he came in to field a routine single, his cleats got caught in the carpet, and he nearly face-planted. In his attempt to save face, he flipped the ball to second baseman Devon Travis.

The flip was errant, and the runner on first scampered on over to third.
