Mets' Jose Reyes: Start of rehab assignment pushed back
Reyes is still feeling some tenderness on his left oblique, which impacts his swing right-handed, and will not begin a rehab assignment Tuesday, as originally scheduled, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
The belief/hope was that Reyes would rejoin the Mets this week after a short rehab stint. This "setback" likely will delay that return, possibly pushing it back to next week. Matt Reynolds, Wilmer Flores and Ty Kelly will continue to see time at shortstop and third with Reyes and Asdrubal Cabrera (knee) still out.
