Ichiro Suzuki's incredible week has earned him part of the National League Player of the Week award.

The 42-year-old Miami Marlins outfielder will share the week's honor with Chicago Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks.

Over the course of the week, Ichiro became the 30th player in MLB history to record 3,000 hits, while the 26-year-old Hendricks was 2-0 with a 0.55 ERA across 16 1/3 innings of work.

Hendricks allowed just one run, while walking three and striking out nine for baseball's top squad.

In the American League, Joe Mauer and Max Kepler of the Minnesota Twins were named co-players of the week.

The 33-year-old Mauer hit an astonishing .560/.633/1.000 with six doubles and nine RBIs.

Kepler, on the other hand, was 10-for-27 with four home runs and 11 RBIs, with a .370/.471/.815 slash line for Minnesota.
