Red Sox's David Price: Takes rough no-decision against Mariners
Price allowed four runs on seven hits and struck out five over seven innings in a no-decision Tuesday against the Mariners.
Analysis:
Price has to feel a bit salty about this one, as he had a shutout through seven innings and watched from the dugout as his bullpen allowed two inherited runners to score. The bullpen blew a save in his last outing too, in which he threw eight shutout innings against the Angels but was stuck with a no-decision. Price has a 4.30 ERA this season, but the 15 consecutive scoreless innings he tossed over his last two starts are evidence that he still has ace-level stuff.
