Edwin Encarnacion's impressive season reached new heights Friday.

The Toronto Blue Jays slugger became the 11th active player with 300 career home runs after launching a solo shot off Houston Astros reliever Will Harris in the bottom of the ninth inning. Encarnacion, who's hit at least 30 homers in five straight seasons, joins teammate Jose Bautista (who accomplished the feat earlier this month), Adrian Gonzalez, Ryan Howard, Mark Teixeira, Carlos Beltran, Adrian Beltre, Miguel Cabrera, David Ortiz, Albert Pujols, and Alex Rodriguez on the list.

"I'm really proud to be on that list with all of those guys," Encarnacion said through an interpreter, according to Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com. "I never thought I was going to get there, but I'm really glad and really happy."

Encarnacion leads the majors with 95 RBIs this year and his 32 homers rank second to MLB-leader Mark Trumbo of the Orioles, who has 33.

"Good for Eddie," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said, according to MLB.com. "Like Bautista, they've both had tremendous careers here. He puts himself in a different category when you get that. But well deserved, and it couldn't happen to a better guy."
