The Tampa Bay Rays managed to deal one of their coveted starters before the 4 p.m. ET trade deadline Monday, sending left-hander Matt Moore to the San Francisco Giants for third baseman Matt Duffy and prospects Lucius Fox and Michael Santos.

The Rays will also send cash to San Francisco, per ESPN's Buster Olney.

Moore bolsters an already excellent Giants rotation that includes fellow southpaw Madison Bumgarner as well as right-hander Johnny Cueto. The 27-year-old Moore owns a 4.08 ERA in 21 starts this season, his first full year after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He's pitched his entire career in Tampa Bay to date.

Duffy finished second in NL Rookie of the Year voting last season but has been bit by the injury bug this year, and is currently on the disabled list with an Achilles injury. The 25-year-old is hitting .253/.313/.358 with four homers this season.

Fox, a shortstop, owns a .207/.305/.277 line with the Single-A Augusta GreenJackets in his first professional season. The native of the Bahamas was ranked as the Giants' No. 5 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.

Santos has also been playing with the GreenJackets this season. The 21-year-old owns a 2.91 ERA in 10 starts, and was ranked as San Francisco's No. 25 prospect.
