Brewers' Ryan Braun: Held out of action Sunday

Braun (side) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the PIrates.

Analysis:

Braun appears to be getting closer to a return from an outside perspective, as he was originally in Saturday's lineup before eventually getting scratched. Manager Craig Counsell doesn't appear eager to take any chances with what seems to be a nagging injury, however, so he'll give Jake Elmore another start in left field. The Brewers will head to the west coast next for a three-game series with San Diego, so consider Braun questionable for Monday's opener.
