Indians' Zach McAllister: Returns from DL on Friday

McAllister (hip) was activated from the disabled list Friday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

After a nearly two-week rehab assignment, the Indians were convinced that McAllister to return to the big league bullpen ahead of Friday's game against the A's. McAllister was lit up for four earned runs in his final outing before hitting the DL, which ballooned his ERA by well over a full point to 5.40. Now that he's healthy, McAllister should regain his regular role as the main seventh inning option out of the bullpen.
