Red Sox's Chris Young: Team eyeing rehab assignment
Young (hamstring) has been running without pain and the Red Sox are targeting the next homestand for him to begin a rehabilitation assignment, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis:
Young, who is traveling with the Red Sox on their current 11-game road trip, will get back to Boston on Aug. 8. Until Young is activated off the disabled list, Brock Holt will be the primary left fielder for Boston.
