Red Sox's David Price: Has win blown by bullpen after eight shutout frames

Price shut the Angels out over eight innings Thursday, allowing seven hits and a walk while striking out six, but he received no decision.

Analysis:

Brad Ziegler came on and blew the save with some help from a Hanley Ramirez error in the ninth inning, blowing Price's win. That's a tough break for the lefty, who's in the midst of his worst campaign since breaking out in 2010. The strikeouts have been there, but Price owns career-worst line-drive and hard-hit rates, suggesting his elevated .338 BABIP isn't entirely bad luck. Still, he's a good bet to push his ERA down under the 4.00 mark before all's said and done.
