Phillies' Aaron Altherr: Activated from DL

Altherr was activated from the 60-day DL on Thursday.

Analysis:

Altherr will start in right field and bat fifth Thursday in his first appearance in the majors this season following a lengthy rehab from a torn wrist tendon sheath suffered in April. The 25-year-old recently participated in 12 rehab games between Rookie League, High-A, Double-A, and Triple-A and hit above .285 at each level. Given outfielder Peter Bourjos landed on the DL Thursday, Altherr could be due to see decent playing time in the short term.
