There's a time and place for everything, including a benches-clearing brawl, but a scheduled "Camp Day" with hundreds of kids in attendance isn't it.

The Daytona Tortugas and Jupiter Hammerheads - Single-A affiliates of the Cincinnati Reds and Miami Marlins, respectively - exchanged blows recently in an all-out melee, though the extent of the brawl wasn't clear until video surfaced Tuesday.

The nasty incident took place with several local summer camps and children in the seats, and Tortugas general manager Josh Lawther wants to make it up to them.

"I know the Cincinnati Reds took the incident very seriously, as they take great pride in their players here in Daytona being involved in the local community in a positive light," Lawther told Zach Dean of The Daytona Beach News-Journal. "Accordingly, our staff has arranged for the players to visit the local camps that were here last week to speak to the kids about baseball and good sportsmanship."

A total of 12 players were suspended for their roles in the brawl.
