Red Sox's Ryan Hanigan: Available in an emergency

Hanigan will need another couple of days before he fully recovers from flu-like symptoms, Julian Benbow of the Boston Globe reports.

Hanigan was a late scratch from Tuesday's game and sat out another Wednesday, though manager John Farrell said he was available "in an emergency." This means Sandy Leon will be the starting backstop until Hanigan is ready for a full nine innings.
