Mets' Logan Verrett: Handed no decision in quality start

Verrett pitched seven strong innings Wednesday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven, but was stuck with a no-decision.

Analysis:

Verrett was in line for the win after his quality start, but closer Jeurys Familia blew his first save on the season, denying Verrett what would have been just his fourth win of the year. That's now three straight no-decisions for Verrett. It's been an up-and-down year for Verrett, who has a 4.12 ERA, but the seven innings Wednesday were something to be proud of and a season high. He'll look to keep things rolling against the Yankees in a Subway Series next Monday.
