Cardinals' Adam Wainwright: Throws 6.2 for no-decision Wednesday

Wainwright threw 6.2 innings of four-run ball Wednesday, scattering 11 hits while walking just one and striking out four en route to a no-decision against the Mets.

Analysis:

Wainwright was on the hook for the loss with his four earned runs, but was bailed out by his teammates, who rallied for a pair of runs off Mets closer Jeurys Familia in the ninth to come back and win the game 5-4. Wainwright has been steady for the Cardinals after a brutal start to the season --he allowed at least three earned runs in each of his first eight starts. Since May 13th, Wainwright has gone at least six innings in 12 of 13 starts, lowering his ERA to 4.16. He's flashed his signature pinpoint command over that span, walking just 19 batters.
