Phillies' Aaron Altherr: Expected to be activated Thursday
Altherr (wrist) is expected to be activated Thursday, CSN Philly's Jim Salisbury reports.
Analysis:
Peter Bourjos (shoulder) is likely headed to the DL after slamming into the outfield wall Tuesday, so there is a natural corresponding move and transfer of outfield duties available to the Phillies. Once he is activated he should see as much playing time as he can handle, as he, unlike Cody Asche and Bourjos, potentially fits into the Phillies' long-term plans. Altherr has hit .351/.500/.486 with one home run and two steals in 12 rehab games spread across four levels of the minors.
