The Miami Marlins, with some help from MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, unveiled the logo for the 2017 All-Star Game at Marlins Park in a pregame ceremony ahead of Wednesday's series finale against the Philadelphia Phillies.

"Today begins the official countdown to July 11, 2017," Manfred said. "The All-Star Game is not just a game. It's a weeklong celebration of the great game of baseball, filled with fun community activities that everyone in Miami can be involved with."

With the Marlins set to host the Midsummer Classic for the first time since their inception in 1993, the ceremony brought out community leaders and franchise luminaries alike, with the mayor of Miami, Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria, team president David Samson, and former player Jeff Conine joining Manfred in the unveiling.

"I know Miami is going to be a great All-Star host, and all of us in Major League Baseball can't wait to get there next summer," added Manfred.
