The New York Yankees won't say they're selling, but it feels like they're inching towards more deals.

General manager Brian Cashman is reportedly taking offers for highly coveted closer Andrew Miller, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

Following Monday's trade of Aroldis Chapman to the Chicago Cubs, it was reported that the Yankees would hang onto Miller, who's under contract until 2018, for this week and see where they stood after playing out their slate of games. While the team may still choose to keep the 31-year-old beyond this year's trade deadline regardless of whether or not they're still in contention, Cashman is now reportedly listening to teams interested in acquiring Miller.

Report: Yankees will hold onto Miller for time being

Olney reports that if Cashman receives an offer for Miller that's to his liking, the GM will bring it to owner Hal Steinbrenner, who will have the final say on whether it's consummated. Steinbrenner was the one who signed off on trading Chapman for a four-player package that included the Cubs' top prospect; it took him two full days to give it his blessing, however, which could impact how much time the Yankees have to make a deal ahead of the deadline.

Miller signed a four-year contract with the Yankees during the winter of 2014 and saved 36 games as their closer last season. This year, working primarily in a set-up role behind the now departed Chapman, he owns a 1.39 ERA, 0.772 WHIP, and 77 strikeouts to just seven walks over 45 1/3 innings. He's been linked in trade rumors to multiple teams seeking bullpen help, including the Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, and Washington Nationals.
