Padres' Andrew Cashner: Could be traded before start Tuesday

The Padres are making progress on a Cashner trade and he could be dealt before his start on Tuesday in Toronto, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

Analysis:

It's unclear which team's on the other side of the deal, but it might be best to steer clear of Cashner on Tuesday as he may not make his scheduled start. Cashner is coming off two consecutive starts of one-run ball, collecting nine and eight strikeouts, respectively.
