Yankees' Adam Warren: Traded back to Yankees

Warren was traded back to the Yankees on Monday in the deal that sent Aroldis Chapman to the Cubs, MLB Network Inside Jon Heyman reports.

Analysis:

Warren, who was sent to the Cubs in the deal that shipped Starlin Castro to New York over the offseason, will be heading back to the Yankees as part of the accepted deal. Warren has struggled on the season with the Cubs, posting a 5.91 ERA and 1.43 WHIP with 27 strikeouts and 19 walks in 35 innings. He's appeared in 29 games, one of them a spot start earlier this month. Expect the Yankees to put Warren in the bullpen, where he occupy a sixth- or seventh-inning role in front of Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller.
