Chicago White Sox left-hander Chris Sale will start Thursday against the Chicago Cubs upon completion of his five-day suspension for reportedly cutting up his team's throwback jerseys.

The news comes two days after Sale was allegedly sent home before his start for cutting the jerseys as a sign of displeasure.

Following the incident, White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said Sale was banned for "violating team rules, for insubordination, and destroying team equipment."

This season, Sale is 14-3 with a 3.18 ERA in 133 innings.
