Stadium sets off home-run fireworks after Upton robs Abreu
MLB.com
It's tough to blame those responsible for the fireworks at U.S. Cellular Field for this mistake Sunday. Even the announcers initially had it wrong when Chicago White Sox slugger Jose Abreu hit a long drive to Detroit Tigers outfielder Justin Upton.
Oh yes, Upton had room, as he very often does. Unfortunately, fireworks aren't as easily taken back as erroneous words, and Upton received a Fourth of July-worthy gift from the home team for robbing Abreu of a home run.
