Fernandez (12-4) struck out seven and allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks over seven innings in a victory over the Mets on Saturday.

The 23-year-old threw 78 of his 110 pitches for strikes and induced 16 missed swings. Fernandez now has at least seven strikeouts in eight straight outings, and he's only walked more than two in one start during that time. Over his last three appearances, Fernandez is 2-0 with a 1.77 ERA, 29 strikeouts and four walks in 20.1 innings. He will look to keep it going in his next start Thursday versus the Phillies.
