Giants' Hunter Pence: Set for rehab appearance Saturday
Pence (hamstring) is expected to play in rehab games at Triple-A Sacramento on both Saturday and Sunday, Amy Gutierrez of CSN Bay Area reports.
Analysis:
Pence was in the lineup for Sacramento on Thursday before taking Friday off. The expectation is that he'll play six innings in the outfield Saturday and seven Sunday before taking another day off Monday. He'll be reevaluated at the beginning of next week, at which point a timeline for a return to the big league club should become more clear.
