Padres' Luis Perdomo: Turns in quality start in fourth victory of season
Perdomo (4-4) struck out three and gave up two earned runs on four hits and a walk over seven innings in a 5-3 victory over the Nationals on Friday.
Analysis:
The 23-year-old turned in what has to be considered his best outing of the season, completing seven innings for the first time as well. After yielding ERA figures of 10.97, 9.39 and 7.00 over the first three months of the season, Perdomo is now 2-1 with a 3.42 ERA over four July starts. He'll look to build on an impressive start against a dangerous Nationals lineup when he takes on the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre next Wednesday.
