Red Sox's Mookie Betts: Exits early Friday with knee soreness

Betts left Friday's matchup with the Twins in the fifth inning due to soreness in his right knee, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

Analysis:

Betts started the night off with a home run for the second consecutive game, but appears to have aggravated his knee at some point during the contest. He has been replaced in right field by Michael Martinez. The Red Sox have declared him day-to-day going forward.
