Rays' Brad Miller: Not in Friday's lineup

Miller is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the A's, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Miller will head to the bench with left-hander Sean Manaea due up for Oakland, as is standard whenever the Rays face a southpaw. With five homers so far in July, Miller is now up to 15 homers on the year. His role as the starting shortstop and No. 2 hitter against right-handers appears safe.
