Cubs' Dexter Fowler: Expected to be activated Friday

Fowler (hamstring) is expected to be activated for Friday's game against the Brewers, Gordon Wittenmyer of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Analysis:

The roster move has not yet been made, but it sounds like Fowler will be back in center and atop the order to face right-hander Jimmy Nelson in Friday's series opener. Fowler played in both games of Triple-A Iowa's doubleheader Wednesday, going a 1-for-5 with a double, a walk and two strikeouts. His .881 OPS so far this season represents a career best for the 30-year-old.
