Giants' Joe Panik: Not ready to return
Panik (concussion) is not ready to be activated, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.
Analysis:
His absence from the lineup at Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday was not seen initially as cause for concern, as it was presumed he was on his way to join the club in New York, but it's now sounding as though Panik may have suffered a setback. Concussion symptoms forced Panik to the DL at the end of June, more than a week after he was hit on the helmet by a pitch. The Giants figure to elaborate on Panik's condition in short order.
