Athletics' Coco Crisp: Out of lineup Thursday

Crisp is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Rays.

Analysis:

Crisp will get the day off after going 0-for-4 on Wednesday against Houston. He has had a rough month of July, hitting .196/.302/.399 with no home runs and only four RBI during 46 at-bats. Jake Smolinski will get the start in center as Billy Butler mans the designated hitter spot Thursday.
