Red Sox's David Ortiz: Catapults Sox to 4-0 victory over former teammate

Analysis:

Ortiz had entered the game without an extra-base hit in 10 career at-bats against his former teammate Jake Peavy, but his fourth-inning blast ended that and secured the 4-0 victory. Ortiz's 23rd homer of the season, and 526th of his career, sailed well over the right-field bullpen and several rows deep into the stands, giving him 75 RBI on the year. He's on pace to launch 40-plus home runs and 130-plus RBI, a feat Ortiz hasn't accomplished since 2006.
