Diamondbacks' Zack Greinke: Unlikely to return against Milwaukee

Greinke (oblique) played catch Tuesday and is unlikely to return for next week's series against Milwaukee, Jack Magruder of Fanragsports.com reports.

Analysis:

While manager Chip Hale said the possibility exists that Greinke could return during Arizona's series against the Brewers, it's highly unlikely that he'll be playing before next weekend. Due to the team having already extended Greinke's return date from July 25, there's no reason to believe they'll want to rush their ace's return to the rotation.
