Cubs' Dexter Fowler: Starting rehab assignment Monday

Fowler (hamstring) is headed to Triple-A Iowa on Monday to begin his rehab assignment, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

This is a good sign for the Cubs as well as fantasy owners, as it appears Fowler is getting close to rejoining the big league team. Manager Joe Maddon expects him to be ready by the end of the week. The 30-year-old was hitting .290/.398/.483 with seven home runs and 28 RBI and 41 runs through 64 games before suffering the injury.
