Blue Jays' Russell Martin: Getting off day Saturday

Martin is not in the lineup for Saturday's tilt with Oakland, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Martin will get the day off in favor of Josh Thole after going 1-for-5 in the first game back after the All-Star break. Martin saw nearly three times as many plate appearances as Thole in the first half off the season and that trend seems likely to continue.
